Kristin M. Knuuttila is a litigator who specializes in defending personal injury cases. She represents self-insured companies, insurers and individuals in a variety of matters including wrongful death and toxic tort suits, premises liability, and automobile accidents. She has also defended assault and battery and sexual abuse cases. Kristin has more than ten years of experience litigating before the state and federal courts in Massachusetts. She also has authored appellate briefs for the Supreme Judicial Court and the Massachusetts Court of Appeals.
To complement her litigation practice, Kristin serves on the faculties of the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and the Massachusetts Bar Association’s continuing legal education program where she teaches lawyers how to take depositions and improve their legal writing skills. She has also authored articles for the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Section Review.
Kristin is actively involved in community service matters. She serves on the Board of Visitors for the Women’s Educational & Industrial Union, where she teaches participants employment law rights and is the President of the Board of Directors of the Commonwealth Children’s Center. In the past, she served on the Board of Suited for Success, a nonprofit women’s group that trained economically disadvantaged women to enter the workforce.
Boston magazine recognized Kristin as a Massachusetts “Rising Star” in 2005-2007.
